BIG APPLE BASKETBALL SELECT TEAM DEFEATS CHINA JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM 59-38
The first ever BAB Select Team defeated the China Junior National Team 59-38 at Orchard Beach in The Bronx, New York. The Select Team raced out to an early lead, led by 11 points at halftime and never looked back.
Gavin Grant (St. Raymond H.S.'04/N.C. State '08) led Big Apple Basketball with 21 points, while 6'10 Randall Hanke (Trinity Pawling School '04/Providence College '08) added 13 points, six rebounds, four blocks and 6'9 Jimmie Englis (Eastern Oklahoma C.C. '04/Rutgers '06) chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds and two steals.
Kojo Mensha (Notre Dame Prep '04/Siena College '08) led the Select Team with five assists.
