The Big Apple Basketball Pro Summer Team was established in 2004 and is designed to give professional level players an opportunity to play in elite summer leagues during their off-season.
During the summer of 2011 the BAB Pro Summer team will participate in the famed Nike Pro City Summer League. The Nike Pro City Summer League is an official NBA sanctioned summer league and has recently featured NBA players, Michael Beasley, Brandon Jennings, Ben Gordon, Jason Richardson, Ron Artest, Nate Robinson, Elton Brand, Richard Jefferson, Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Charlie Villanueva, Sundiata Gaines, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Donte Green, Samuel Dalembert and more!
BAB has also participated in the prestigious W.4th Street Pro Summer League, as well as the Fireball Pro League.
The W. 4th St. and Fireball Pro Leagues have featured several notable current and former NBA players including, Dr. J, Nate Robinson, Walter Berry, Ron Artest, Anthony Mason, Allan Houston, Al Harrington, Sebastian Telfair, Rafer "Skip To My Lou" Alston, Hakim Warrick, Wilson Chandler and Smush Parker.
